About the Speaker
Cai Jin serves as Vice Chairman of the China Federation of Logistics and Purchasing, Vice Chairman of China Society of Logistics, Director of China Logistics Information Center, and Senior Researcher. Previously Mr. Cai served as a government official for the State Economic and Trade Commission, the China Ministry of Material Supplies, China Minister of Trade, etc.
Mr. Cai has long term experience with research and the governing of macro-economy, policies, modern logistic infrastructure, procurement and supply chain management. Among his major achievements as a government official and supply chain professional are the establishment of the China PMI structure, a system for the survey and analysis of logistics matters in Chinese society.
Mr. Cai has published several professional books and articles, and conducted research on the topic of China market development, modern logistics infrastructure and methodologies, procurement and supply chain management, as well as China PMI research and practices. He has also participated in round table discussions on Chinese economics development trend and analysis called by China State leaders.
Periodically Mr. Cai also gives comments and interpretation about China PMI on prime time news via CCTV (China Central TV).
