This position will be responsible for achieving sales targets provided by management. You have to be experienced in Express Logistics & Transportation Industry, with strong business acumen and insights on business opportunities, with consideration of organizational strength and direction.
You have to work closely with related departments / regional offices to develop solution addressing customers’ requirements. Besides, you need to build up number of re-sellers in EU countries, which boost business growth and align with service capability as well.
Understanding the whole door to door express logistics and transportation is important for this position. You have to proactively liaise and manage resellers and direct customers.
As a Business Development Manager, you will need to:
Identify evolving business trends, formulate responsible actions and solutions, which may require support from Regional / HQ
Identify business opportunities through contact with prospective clients in target industry vertical
Lead and coordinate related departments / functions to develop solution fulfilling business requirements
Formulate business plan & key actions to meet required commercial targets
Develop number of re-sellers and direct customers which help drive business volums
Perform daily management and coaching of re-sellers / co-loaders
You May Also Be Required To
Provide sales training for staff of re-sellers
Work together with business partners to target key account customers
Liaise with re-sellers / co-loaders to support business growth in specific sectors
Experienced in developing EU-Asia (esp China) business trade-lane will definitely be an advantage
Minimum 7 years of experience in Sales or Business Development with at least 2 years in managerial roles in Express Logistics & Transportation Industry in European Market
Proficiency in Chinese could be an advantage (e.g. Mandarin)
Work independently to drive Business Development
Work logically & systematically
Have good time management
Think laterally and offer creative solutions
Have a strong commercial, analytical & numerical sense
Be IT literate and have the ability to manage electronic data
Be flexible and have the ability to manage change
Have strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work well as part of a team
Have excellent communication skills, both oral and written
Maintain a positive attitude to continued learning
Considerable overseas travel may be required
Work location near Heathrow Airport
