Have you ever wondered what it is like to act on stage for a theater play? Do you want to get involved with English language theater performances in Beijing? Do you want to watch and learn about the first modern movie to win all five major Oscar awards in one year (Best Picture, Best Actor in Lead Role, Best Actress in Lead Role, Best Director, and Best Screenplay)?
Come to the Beijing American Center to meet the director of an upcoming play by the Charity Readers Theatre and learn how you or your child can audition to be an actor in Beijing Playhouse’s upcoming production of “A Christmas Carol.” The director will also talk about the upcoming production of “One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest” and show the classic movie version, a 1975 comedy-drama starring Jack Nicholson. The film is about a criminal who pleads insanity to avoid going to jail. However, once he is put into a mental institution, he rebels against the oppressive conditions and plots with other patients to escape. Come watch one of the greatest films ever made and learn how to get involved in English theatre in Beijing!
