The Opportunity

The Role

This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated individual with experience of working within Higher Education in an International role in the UK to join a very creative, dynamic and enthusiastic team within External Relations. As part of the International Recruitment team, you will have responsibility for raising the profile of the University primarily in East Asian markets, travelling to and representing the University in these markets, assisting academic staff with visits to markets, managing and supporting overseas agents, counselling students on the University’s portfolio, recognising partnership opportunities, preparing country strategies with focussed operational plans and managing budgets.


Responsibilities

The post holder will be the key point of contact for East Asia within the International Recruitment Office and will work closely with the Admissions Team, colleagues in the International Recruitment Office, the marketing and PR teams, the International Development Office and other professional services to ensure the deliver student recruitment targets and contribute to our Internationalisation strategy.


Requirements

-   The role requires excellent planning, organisational and interpersonal skills including the ability to build strong internal and external relationships

-   To communicate clearly and concisely

-   To provide accurate and timely numerical reporting and strong attention to detail

-   Fluency in Mandarin is also desirable

-   Qualified to degree level (or equivalent) you will combine excellent administrative and communication skills (including presentations, data reports, effective email communication, social media and developing written marketing communications) with appropriate knowledge of IT systems and packages


There is a focus on continued professional development within the role.
