西南美商会于5月31日周四晚在成都香格里拉大酒店成功举办《2018美国企业在中国》高峰论坛暨美商会二十一周年庆典。150余名中外资企业高层人员，中外政府机构官员，行业领袖，及会员公司代表莅临参加。此次晚宴庆祝了《2018美国企业在中国》（俗称白皮书）的发布，各位业界代表向大家介绍了本行业存在的机遇与挑战，并回顾了西南美商会成立二十一年来的重大活动以及介绍了执行团队。

AmCham Southwest held its 2018 White Paper Forum and AmCham 21st Anniversay at the Shangri-La Hotel in Chengdu on Thursday, May 31th, 2018. Around 150 guests attended this grand event, including senior managers from both foreign enterprises and local companies, Chinese as well as foreign government officials, pioneers of the industry and representatives of member corporations. The event was to celebrate the release of 2018 American Business in China, the White Paper with moguls from various industries to share their ideas on the existing opportunities and challenges. Later, a retrospection on AmCham Southwest’s events and a introduction of administration went on to celebrate the 21st  Anniversary of AmCham Southwest.

     《2018美国企业在中国》白皮书探讨了中国美国商会会员企业在2017年和2018年年初面临的跨领域，特定行业和地区性问题，并为解决这些挑战提供了实用建议。商会希望今年的《白皮书》能够帮助中美两国政府维护双边经济互惠关系。

The 2018 American Business in China White Paper explores cross-cutting, industry-specific, and regional issues faced by AmCham China’s member companies in 2017 and early 2018, and offers practical recommendations for addressing these challenges. We Chamber sincerely hope that this year’s White Paper could offer a hand in building mutual beneficial relationship on economy between China and America.

     此次晚宴中，中国西南美商会会长，王晓东首先进行了欢迎致辞，预祝本次活动成功举办。接着，中国西南美商会副会长，史君向各位来宾介绍了白皮书的写作历程和目的；五位分别来自航空业、金融业、制造业、酒店业、教育业的行业专家针对成都经济的关键领域发表了精彩的演讲。

Firstly, Chairman of AmCham Southwest, Benjamin Wang gave a welcoming speech and wished a perfect and successful dinner. Then Eli Sweet, vice chairman of AmCham Southwest, introduced the purpose and process of the white paper.Five experts from various industries including aviation, finance, manufacturing, hospitality and education shared their expertise on Chengdu’s economy and gave audiences wonderful speeches.

       成都爱思瑟国际学校团队负责人爱德华向大家介绍了一些在国际教育行业中遇到的问题，并对未来教育行业的发展进行了展望。中国西南美商会常务理事，毕马威企业咨询（中国）有限公司成都首席合伙人方海杰分享了成都金融领域发展的机遇与挑战。中国西南美商会常务理事，精量电子（成都）有限公司总经理马朝萌分析了制造领域的一些积极与消极的发展势头。成都棕榈泉费尔蒙酒店总经理菲利普·史密斯分享了酒店业在成都及全球遇到的问题及一些应对方案。美联航大中华及韩国地区销售董事总经理戴亚斯介绍了航空业在成都及亚洲的发展情况。

Edward Blanchard, team director of Chengdu International School, introduced several problems in the international education and gave a look into the future. Jay Fang, Officer of AmCham Southwest, senior partner of Chengdu KPMG Advisory Ltd, shared the opportunities and challenges laid ahead in Chengdu’s finance area. Jolly Ma, Officer of AmCham Southwest, GM of Measurement Specialities, analyzed the current positive and negative development trend. Phillip Smith, GM of Fairmont Chengdu, shared some matters in the hospitality in Chengdu and moreover in a global range and brought up several plans to address such issues. Walter Dias, managing director of greater China & Korea, Sales United, briefed the audience on the current situation of aviation in Chengdu &other areas in Asia.

      中国西南美商会常务理事马朝萌向大家介绍了西南美商会的行政团队，感谢大家一致以来的努力与支持。中国西南美商会理事张耀华回顾了美商会二十一年来的一些重大活动，介绍了美商会即将举办的一些活动，并邀请了如新公司的周晔女士与大家分享其公司的CSR活动。

Later, Jolly Ma, Officer of AmCham Southwest, introduced the administration team to guests, and appreciated everyone’s hard effort and great support. Officer of AmCham Southwest, Charles Cheung reviewed the activities AmCham held in the past, and introduced several important events to be held in the future. Ms Hilary Zhou from Nuskin Company was invited to share their stories on Company Social Responsibility (CSR).

      此外，还有精彩绝伦的表演，鼓舞秀，水袖舞，霸王别姬，爵士舞曲等，中西合璧，赢得了阵阵掌声。活动到最后时，美国驻成都总领事馆总领事林伟杰先生和商务领事范思杰先生受邀上台抽取了幸运大奖，包括美联航提供的中美往返机票，稻丰智谷提供的声控音响，如新提供的SPA美容仪，百悦希尔顿和丽思卡尔顿提供的体验券，给现场嘉宾带来连连惊喜。

Additionally, excellent performance was put on show that night, like Drum Dance, Long Sleeve Dance, Farewell to My Concubine, and Jazz. Such a combination of  characteristics from Oriental and West countries win rounds of applause. At the last part of the event, Consul General Jim Mullinax and Commercial Consul Francis Peters of the US Consulate in Chengdu draw the lucky business cards for grand prices, which includes round-trip flight tickets from United Airlines, sound-controlled loudspeaker from DaoFeng Wisdomfull Technology, beauty apparatus from Nuskin, and five-star experimental vouchers from Doubletree by Hilton and Riz-Calton, impressing audience with enjoyment.
