June 28, 2018, Thursday, 18:30 - 20:30, Meet community college representatives to find out how you can make your U.S. education more affordable and rewarding!

Community colleges in the United States are higher education intuitions that provide the first two years of a university education. Whether they are large or small, located in big cities or rural settings, community colleges have a common mission to promote and support student learning and success. Established more than 100 years ago, U.S. community colleges offer affordable, convenient, and accessible higher education opportunities. According to the Data of American Association of Community Colleges, about 45% of all undergraduates in the United States begin their higher education studies at community colleges, which are affordable and provide individualized attention. First-rate faculty, a high ratio of teacher-student dialogue and interaction, state-to-the-art facilities, and smaller class sizes are only a few of the characteristics of a U.S. community college education. U.S. community college tuition and fees are more than 50% lower than those at four-year colleges and universities. If you intend to pursue a bachelor’s degree, you can lower the total cost of earning your degree by taking the first two years of a university program at a community college. Because community colleges are accredited by the same regional agencies and their academic courses meet the same standards as universities, students are able to transfer their course credits to a university degree program. Most U.S. community colleges have “articulation” agreements with four-year colleges and universities to assist students to transfer. State universities often guarantee entry as a third-year student if the student has completed all course requirements for the first two years of study.   All parents and students interested in studying in the U.S. are welcome to join us in this fair where you can consult face-to-face to the admissions officers from the following eight community colleges:

Snow College

Shoreline Community College

Lane Community College

San Mateo Colleges Of Silicon Valley

Santiago Canyon College

Foothill & De Anza Colleges

College of the Canyons

Pima Community College West Campus
