英语中很多词语都有其另外的含义。有些最常用的词语放在特定句式中其翻译出来的意思往往让你惊叹不已。比如：
1. Word
原意：单词，话语
作为俚语：Word = I agree。
例句：
- You do not have to agree on politics.
你们没必要在政治观点上保持一致。
- Word!
说得对！
2. Ship
原意：船
作为俚语：俚语的ship常被人用作支持某对影视剧里的CP（couple<情侣档>的缩写）。
例句:
I ship Ron/Hermione.
我站罗恩/赫敏这对儿。
3. Dead/Died
原意：死亡
作为俚语：Dead/Died在俚语里就是比较幽默的用法了。如果某件事情对你来说“太过了”(冲击力太强，激动得失血过量)，你就可以用上这个词。
例句：
I just saw Chris Evens's new photo, I died.
我刚刚看到克里斯·埃文斯的新照了，好激动。
4. Cool
原意：凉爽；酷
作为俚语：类似于“OK”，“好、没问题”的意思。
例句：
Don't worry, I'm cool.
别担心，我没事儿。
5. Swag
原意：花饰、花束、花环；偷来的东西，赃物
作为俚语：夸别人handsome、good-looking已经过时了。夸小鲜肉有一种新潮酷炫性感的style，就用上swag吧。
例句：
I've got more swag than you do.
我比你更酷。（这种用法的swag是名词）
6. Bae
作为俚语：这个词由baby/babe简化而来，是对男票/女票的爱称，相当于“宝贝儿”啦，“甜心”啦，“亲爱的”啦（注意语气充满爱意、深情款款）。
例句：
I can't wait to see you, Bae.
宝贝儿，我真是等不及见你了。
7. Thirsty
原义：口渴
作为俚语：Thirsty的用法就广了，用于形容你对某样东西真的是孤注一掷的想要！想要！真的很想要！
例句：
I'm really thirsty for that new iPhone.
人家真的很想要新款iPhone，想要得要SHI了。
8. Low key
作为俚语：这个短语和key真的没有半毛钱关系。作为一种约定俗成的表达，low key表示“低调的，不张扬的”。
例句：
The wedding was a low-key affair, with fewer than thirty people attending.
婚礼办得很低调，参加者还不足30人。
9. Slay
原意：杀死（等同kill）
作为俚语：和“杀杀杀”毫不相关。如果你做的什么事情很惊人、很了不起，你就可以用上slay。
例句：
Adele's 'Hello' slayed!
阿黛尔的《Hello》棒呆了！
