悉尼最高住宅楼即将诞生 - Metro Grand

坐落在 Chatswood 火车站旁边的 Metro Grand 即将成为悉尼最高的住宅楼。



这栋刚获“悉尼最高的可居住楼”称号Metro Grand已经对楼内552家公寓的住户承诺:为住户实现“无车生活”的便捷环境。


开发商Galileo Fund Management 称,Metro Grand 比悉尼的任何一栋居住楼都要高(海拔高度为240米),这要归因于Chatswood 这区本身就处于较高的海拔位置,也因此使得 Metro Grand 比悉尼市中心 (CBD)的 World Tower 还要高出10米。并且它只有46层,而World Tower却有75层。

负责建设塔楼的建筑公司Hutchinson 的区域经理 Brian Hood称,该栋居民楼就是为了实现“无车生活”的理念而建造的。


他说“跟那种可以在后院养狗的居住方式肯定是不能比的,但这里的生活将会非常便捷。从这里去火车站只要十分钟,周边设有游泳池、健身房和餐厅,正好处于交通交汇处。住在这里,使用公共交通真的非常方便,因为都离得很近,住户根本没有用车的需要。”他说道。

据了解,Metro Grand 以及旁边的 CHATSWOOD火车站周围约有70家到80家新店即将开张,其中包括Woolworths大型超市和15家餐厅。商店将在未来的数个月里开张,所有的店面都将在今年年底全部开放。

据悉,552套公寓里仅有3套称为“SKYHOMES”的位于最上层的顶楼公寓未被售出。其中每套公寓都有4间卧室,被售出的价格在335万澳元到385万澳元不等。

另外,悉尼最高塔依旧是“悉尼塔”,游客可以在海拔268米上行走,而Metro Grand 即将成为悉尼最高的住宅楼。此楼特色:没有任何单元标有数字4,因为被亚洲买家被认为是不吉利。


Metro Grand 施工开始于2012年9月,将在十一月中旬完成。


住户即将于今年12月搬入这栋悉尼最高的住宅楼。

Sydney’s highest habitable tower, next to Chatswood train station, has promised car-free living to those who live in one of the 552 home units within.


Developers Galileo Fund Management have said the Metro Grand tower is higher than any other habitable building in Sydney, reaching 240m above sea level.


This is due inpart to Chatswood’s elevated position of 100m above sea level, making it 10m higher than World Tower in the Sydney CBD.


However, it has 46 levels compared to World Tower’s 75 storeys.


Brian Hood,regional manager of the tower’s construction company Hutchinson, said it made for car-free living.


“You can’t beat a dog in the grass in the backyard in residential living, but this is very convenient,” he said.


“It’s about 10 minutes to the train station, has a pool, a gym, restaurants and is right above the transport interchange.


“Travelling in and around Sydney on trains can be quite convenient and when you’re this close to them there’s really no need for a car.”


Senior architect Ramin Jahromi, from the building’s design firm Cox Richardson Architects said the biggest challenge was dealing with shadowing over the neighbouring Garden of Remembrance war memorial.


“One of the key aspects was building build towers of this scale right next to the Garden of Remembrance and working with the shadows over the garden,” he said.


“With November 11 approaching, it was about making sure the roses remain growing and beautiful as they are in the garden so that was always the biggest challenge.”


Around 70 to 80 new stores will open in a 10,000sqm retail next to Chatswood train station including a Woolworths supermarket and around 15 restaurants. The stores will open over the next few months, with all stores due to open by the end of theyear.


Above this level,a podium level contains a 25m pool, gym and landscaped gardens for residents ofthe tower.


Only three of the 552 units remain unsold, known as “skyhomes” at the topmost levels of thetower.


Each with four bedrooms, the units are selling for between $3.35 million to $3.85 million.


Residents will beable to move into their new homes from December.
