Researching your options is the first of EducationUSA’s five steps to finding the best-fit college or university in the United States. Among all the factors to consider during your college search, an important one is to check if the higher education institution is accredited or not. Accreditation is a form of endorsement that a college or university meets certain standards and quality.
Unlike the Chinese education system which is governed by the Ministry of Education, U.S. colleges and universities are accredited by several accrediting agencies recognized by the Department of Education. Some accrediting agencies are regional; some are national. Ms. Christina Chandler, Regional Educational Advising Coordinator, will explain the U.S. higher education accreditation system and why it is important for students to apply to accredited colleges and universities.

You must bring a valid photo ID and your registration confirmation email in order to get into the Beijing American Center (BAC). Large bags will not be allowed into the program area of BAC.
请务必准时到达北京美国中心，在活动开始30分钟后将不允许入场参加活动。
You must arrive at the Embassy BAC entrance no later than half an hour of the program starting time for check in. You will NOT be admitted if you arrive half an hour after the program has started.
