西班牙裔传统月开幕活动

美国在每年9月15日至10月15日都会庆祝西班牙传统文化月，用于表彰西班牙文化和拉美文化对美国社会的重大贡献和多种多样的影响。当这一国家庆典开始时，广州美领馆欣喜地主办我们一年一度的西班牙传统文化月启动典礼，这是我们一年之中最盛大的活动之一。加入我们，在享受美食、舞蹈和其他活动的同时，一起庆祝这蕴含独特美国文化的节日。

西班牙文化的多样性体现在其多种多样的烹饪艺术、活泼的音乐风格和舞蹈风格中，这些都会在启动典礼上得到展现。我们将提供精选的免费食物和点心，配有音乐伴奏的开放舞池，现场还有骚沙音乐表演。这种利于家庭和睦的典礼包含适合所有年龄段的活动，例如音乐椅，人脸雕塑和糖果盒。

经过一代代的美国移民，西班牙裔美国人和拉美裔美国人不但对美国文化产生了深远影响，而且极大促进了美国的政治、经济和社会生活的各个方面。西班牙传统文化月是一个很重要的时间，让我们重新认识他们伟大的贡献并探索文化的多样性。9月12日星期三晚上7点林肯大楼，让我们一同分享这一年一度的特殊节日。

Hispanic Heritage Month, observed in the U.S. every year from September 15 toOctober 15, recognizes the important contributions and diverse influence ofHispanic and Latino culture to American society. As this national celebrationbegins, the U.S. Consulate Guangzhou is excited to be hosting our annualHispanic Heritage Month kick-off celebration, one of our largest events of theyear! Join us for food, dancing, and other activities to celebrate this uniqueside of U.S. culture.

The diversity of Hispanic culture is reflected in its varied cuisine, livelymusic, and dance – all of which will be on display at our kick-off event. Wewill be offering a selection of free food and refreshments as well as an opendance floor with dance instruction and a performance by Salsa Cubana. Thisfamily-friendly event will include activities for all ages including musicalchairs, face painting, and candy-filled piñatas!

Through generations of immigration from across the Americas, Hispanic/LatinoAmericans have not only had a profound influence on U.S. culture but have alsocontributed to all aspects of government, business, and society in importantways. Hispanic Heritage Month is an important time for us to recognize theirvaluable contributions and explore cultural diversity. Share in this specialannual tribute on Wednesday, September 12 at 7PM in Lincoln Hall.

Labor Day is a national holiday that occurs the first Monday of September andhonors the nation’s working people. For most Americans, it marks the end of thesummer vacation season, and for students, the opening of the school year. Wewill be discussing the history of the U.S. labor movement, the origins of LaborDay, and how the movement transformed America’s labor laws. In addition, wewill be speaking to how U.S. citizens chose to celebrate Labor Day with theirfamilies and their communities.

Are you interested in an overview of land conservation in the United States?Are you interested in learning more about beautiful American national parks andthe wildlife you can find in the parks? National Wilderness Month in the UnitedStates runs from August 31 to September 30. During this month, Americans spendtime visiting and enjoying wilderness areas to learn about their history and toaid in the protection of our precious national treasures. In order to raiseawareness of wildlife and land conservation, please come for an engagingintroduction to the history of conversation and national parks in the UnitedStates on Thursday, September 13 from 2:30-4pm in the Guangzhou AmericanCenter.
