Position：Financial Controller

Location：Sydney

Job Description

This role supports Finance Director to supervise the Finance Team and ensure compliance with statutory requirements, financial reporting and management reporting responsibilities for all business units across the Group, working collaboratively with Board of Directors to continuously improve operating efficiency and assist in any new business opportunities.

The Role

Supervise the preparation of monthly and annual financial statements, analyse the variance and present the results to stakeholders
Supervise the preparation and lodgement of BAS/IAS, Payroll Tax, and Income Tax Return,etc., and ensure the compliance of all statutory obligations
Organise the preparation of annual budget and quarterly forecasting for all businessunits
Preparation of weekly and monthly Cashflow forecast and analysis
Monitor related party transactions and reporting
Assist in the set-up of appropriate company structure with tax strategies, preparation of project feasibility, finance summary, cash flow forecast, review legal documents, and execution of the funding plan.
Setup and implement financial policy for the business and monitor compliance
Work closely with the Development Management team and Financial Institutions to monitor property project profit realisation and cashflow
Assist in any new business/investment opportunities across the Group, including the preparation of project budget, cashflow forecast, review legal documents, andexecution of the funding plan, etc.

The Candidate

Prior experience in the property and hospitality sector, preferably with exposure tolarge portfolios and syndicate investment structures
Qualified Accountant
Ideally you will have knowledge of investment portfolio strategies, banking and financial instruments
Great leadership skills and management skills
Excellent verbaland written communication skills
Ability to manage a significant number of entities
Self-motivated,sense of urgency, resourceful and great work ethic
