#US-General Election - How doparties select the candidate?

Political parties select theircandidate through a primary election. A primary is an election in which apolitical party selects its candidates to run in the general election. In thepresidential nomination process, voters select delegates who will cast theirballots for a particular candidate at the party’s national convention.
