MIS（管理信息系统）专业介绍

MIS （Management Information Systems）是一门新兴的学科，主要是以人为主导，意在利用现代的计算机及网络通讯技术加强企业的信息管理。企业可以通过这一系统，对本企业的人力、物力、财力等资源进行加工处理，汇编各种有效数据并建立正确的数据库，将其提供给企事业管理部门，方便其根据所掌握的信息及资料做出正确的决策，进行企事业的管理工作。

目前的一个趋势是, 项目可能开设在商学院、管理学院或者信息学院，学校开设项目名称有可能为：Management Information Systems、Information system、Information Systems Technology、Information and library science、Information Systems Technology等等。有的项目偏重计算机知识与技能的培养，有的则由此衍生出图书馆信息管理的方向，有些则是希望能够培养出整合IT实践和商业技能为一体的学生。

从MIS专业开设的课程上来看，主要的核心课程大多涵盖如下几个方面：语言编程、数据库、网路、通信、社会媒体（计算机方面）；项目管理、管理策略、领导力培养（管理方面）。

MIS的就业面相对来讲比较广泛，由于它属于一个交叉学科，毕业于该专业的申请者大多拥有技术才能又拥有一些商业管理才能。该专业的毕业生就业领域可以非常广泛，涉及到金融（银行信息系统）、物流（供应链管理）、外贸、餐饮。毕业生可以从事系统、软件的开发；系统、网络的管理工作；企事业的信息处理及管理。笼统来讲，可以是商业分析师、系统及软件开发师、技术支持、网络工程师、项目主管等等。

申请要求要点总结

GRE/GMAT: 一般在商学院下开设的MIS项目一般都同时接受GRE和GMAT，但是非商学院开设的项目，只接受GRE的居多。所以建议学生准备GRE的考试比较保险且选择选择性较多。此外，只接受GMAT的项目比较少。

Essay：大多数学校对于essay的要求一般在500-550 words。

TOEFL: 排名靠前的学校托福大多要求100，也有要求90+的学校。

工作经验：建议学生又相关工作经验，强制要求工作经验的院校不多。

本科专业背景：大多数项目对申请者的本科专业背景并没有强烈要求。只不过拥有统计学、数学、计算机学科背景的申请者可能在研究生阶段更容易些（针对偏技术类项目）
