Teach Pronunciation with the Color Vowel Chart 

Dan Forman, the English Language Fellow at Harbin Normal University, will present  a system for teaching vowel pronunciation at the Beijing American Center between 6:30pm and 8:30pm on Monday January 25th, 2016.  Teaching pronunciation can often cause fear in both teachers and students.  The complicated signs and names of vowel sounds and pronunciation symbols can cause some teachers to avoid pronunciation all together.  The Color Vowel Chart changes that with an easy to understand and easy to teach system using colors and color words to teach pronunciation.  This workshop will teach the system, discuss how to teach it to your students, and even offer time to do activities:  all in 75 minutes!  The system is that easy!   The Color Vowel Chart can be used at any level and will help your students achieve high levels of pronunciation accuracy.
