Baoism, a venture from locally-based foodie, and Ivey HBA ’09, Jenny Gao that puts a modern twist on the traditional bao, opened near Xintiandi in October. If you’ve tried their ‘modern Chinese street food’ at various markets and other events around town over the past year or so, then you’ll be looking forward to the opening of their permanent eatery as much as we are. We don’t know exactly what will be on the menu for Ivey Day, but previous pop-up treats have included 48-hour short rib and Korean fried chicken baos, plus sweets such as White Rabbit ice cream.

Cost: 100 RMB per person
