在美国,失聪学生被提供教育机会以帮助他们充分发挥潜能。请加入我们北京美国中心,有机会与四位来自三个不同的美国帮助聋人的教育机构的代表和一位特别嘉宾见面。特里 怀尔德先生先生将分享明尼苏达州聋人学院如何提供学前至21岁的项目。巴卡尔•阿里

先生将分享全国聋人技术研究所如何为聋人学生和听力障碍学生提供各种各样的动态学术课程,从而带来各种职业机会。埃文布莱克女士将分享加劳德特大学如何成为世界上失聪学生的首要大学。特别嘉宾利亚•卡茨-赫南德斯女士,作为美国总统奥巴马的首任美国白宫聋人接待员也将出席本活动。四位座谈嘉宾都是聋人,现在在其机构内担任领导角色。本活动将由爱荷华州得梅因哈金研究所执行主任约瑟夫·琼斯先生主持。


In the United States, students who are deaf are provided educational opportunities that help them reach their full potential. Please join us at the Beijing American Center for a chance to meet four representatives from three different American educational institutions helping the deaf and one special guest of honor. Mr. Terry Wilding will share how the Minnesota State Academy for the Deaf provides pre-school through age 21 programming. Mr. Bakar Ali will share how the National Technical Institute for the Deaf provides deaf and hard of hearing students a wide variety of dynamic academic programs that lead to a variety of careers. Ms. Evon Black, will share how Gallaudet University is the premier university for students who are deaf from around the world. A special guest of honor, Ms. Leah Katz Hernandez who served as the first deaf receptionist for the United States White House under President Obama, will also be in attendance. All four panelists are deaf adults themselves who now have leadership roles within their institutions. This program will be moderated by Mr. Joseph Jones, Executive Director of the Harkin Institute in Des Moines, Iowa. 


This presentation will be in American Sign Language with translation into Chinese Sign Language, spoken English, and spoken Chinese.

The program will start at 6:30pm and doors will open at 6pm. Please try to arrive at least 10 minutes before the program starts to allow enough time to go through security.
