Liaison Officer

UK Warwick Learning Limited Beijing Representative Office

Salary Range: circa RMB 100,000 to RMB 150,000 (per annum)


UK Warwick Learning Limited Beijing Representative Office(WLLBRO) is seeking to employ a Liaison Officer to deliver a service to the University of Warwick, UK.



The post-holder will be responsible for enhancing the reputation of the University of Warwick in China through advising students, alumni support, developing study abroad and research links, and other activities as assigned.


The successful candidate will be a graduate of a Chinese or UK university, and be fluent in English and Mandarin. They will be familiar with both the Chinese and English education systems and have a professional outlook.Experience in the UK education sector, of studying in the UK and, better yet,at the University of Warwick, are all desirable but non-essential qualities for the post.


The post-holder will report to the Operations Director in the Representative Office based in Beijing. The ability to work effectively in a small office in a dynamic changing environment is an essential personal quality for this post.


This is an exciting position that offers the successful candidate the opportunity to directly impact the University of Warwick’s engagement with China. The job will involve extensive travel around China as well as regular visits to the UK.


The successful candidate should be committed to excellence in customer service and capable of representing the University of Warwick brand to a diverse set of people. The ability to build relations and influence people is essential and experience of(or a passion for) engaging students through online channels will be a considerable advantage.

JOB DESCRIPTION

A. JOB PURPOSE

A1 The post-holder will be responsible for enhancing the university’s reputation in China and assist the Operations Director on promotional activities including representing the University at various education exhibition fairs, alumni events and engaging with students through online channels.

B. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

B1 To handle student enquiries and advise on the application process

B2 To assist with student information,offer-holder and pre-departure events

B3 To maintain University Chinese micro-blog, online forum and other websites

B4 To participate in education exhibitions fairs and conferences: this may require in- country travel to major cities across China

B5 To maintain contact records and databases for education and other institutions in China

B6 To prepare programmes in China for visitors from the University of Warwick

B7 To maintain accounting records for the Office.

B8 To undertake other projects as designated from time to time by the Operations Director in support of the University’s wider strategic objectives.
