As we conclude this year’s pride month, we are reminded that just over a year ago on June 26, 2015, the U.S. Supreme Court made a momentous decision on marriage equality to which President Obama responded: “Our nation was founded on a bedrock principle that we are all created equal…This morning, the Supreme Court recognized that the Constitution guarantees marriage equality. In doing so, they’ve reaffirmed that all Americans are entitled to the equal protection of the law.
