Q&A 关于暑期学校申请

Q1 申请对均分有要求么？

Any one aged over 18 can study most courses. They all have no entry requirements except having an interest in the topic and a good understanding of the English language. We do not require a certain average grade, but some courses do require prior study of the subject：(1) the course Behavioural Economics, Game Theory and Money and Banking requires the applicants to have prior study in Economics at undergraduate level or postgraduate level; (2) for the course Public Policy and Public Finance, students should be studying a related subject (i.e., business, law. economics. policy or finance).

Q2 申请时需要提供语言成绩证明么

No IELTS or other English language certificate is required. The language ability is assessed through applicants' applications made online. Provided that students can understand English and fill out our application form, we consider this is sufficient if there are no major errors.

Q3 提前多久申请可以享受折扣啊?

If you apply before the 31 May 2018, you will be given a discount code to enter at our payment pages. The discount code will give you 10% off your tuition fee. Please note that this early bird discount is not available in conjunction with loyalty discount or group discount. The loyalty discount and group discount student can also benefit from are: (1) Loyalty and Partner Discount——University of Warwick students, staffs, Alumni and offer holders, partners and Summer School Alumni are eligible for a 20% discount on tuition fees; (2) A 20% discount on tuition fee for group 5+; (3) Tuition fee waiver for 1 faculty member per group of 5 students (teachers are still responsible for accommodation costs); (4) Scholarships——for every ten students that attend from one institution, there will be one tuition fee scholarships place available (2 places for 20 students, 3 for 30 etc.). The scholarship will cover a tuition fee at group cost (1596 pounds). We would be happy for you to work out a system to allocate the scholarships on a competitive basis to be shared amongst all the students.

Q4 学校会提供语言帮助么

Students that aren't confident but want to improve their English more can still apply provided they can communicate and understand English without falling behind and being unable to follow classes. We are planning to launch a week of pre-sessional English before the Summer School begins, so we are happy to help students prepare for the programme if they are not confident enough.

Q5 收到offer后需要做什么

Tuition fees should be paid once you have received an offer by email: only once tuition fees are paid (at least a 50% deposit) is your place on your chosen course guaranteed and secured. We recommend that students pay using a credit/debit card, as this method is quicker and more secure. However, if you wish to pay via bank transfer, you will need to contact our Summer School Administrator to ask for bank details.

Q6 如何申请签证

Q7 什么时候报名截止

Applications close at the end of May 2018, however our course fill up fast so we advise students to apply onilne as soon as possible.
