AmCham White-collar Workers Subhealth Seminar

2017年08月19日 西南美国商会

Dear AmCham Members and Friends:

We sincerely invite you to attend AmCham's White Collar Workers’ Subhealth Seminar from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM on Thursday, August 31, at China Overseas International Center.

Topic 1:In a fast-paced and stressful life, people often spend extended periods sitting in front of computers in positions that are uncomfortable. People suffer from a lack of exercises, and therefore tend to incur health problems, such as waist, neck, and shoulder vertebrae disease as well as joint diseases. This impacts their quality of life and work efficiency. A survey shows that doing yoga can prevent 82.85 % of cervical spondylosis. Ms. Yalan Deng, Senior Yoga Coach from Angel Women’s & Children’s Hospital, will be leading a yoga lesson instructing on how to relax and relieve pain.

Topic 2:

White collar workers are constantly using the computer for their tasks, which puts a strain on their eyes. This overuse causes puffy or black eyes, as well as under eye bags. AmCham has specially invited Chief Physician Weibin of AIDI Eye Hospital to explain the problems associated with eye use in daily life. He will share his professional knowledge on how the eyes are affected by various conditions both in the office and life, including the effects of prolonged staring at a computer screen, office air conditioning, external pollution, contact lenses, and living and eating habits, such as lack of sleep or overeating. Furthermore, we will be providing professional equipment to check the status of participants' eyes onsite.
