The Opportunity
Our client is a leading organisation within mobile telecommunications who operate in over 200 countries. With offices in a number of different countries worldwide, they have a genuine international footprint and an ability to gather vast amounts of accurate data unparalleled in the industry.
With a growing team of analysts and consultant, the firm are looking to add further depth to their intelligence offering.
The Role
Our client are looking for an analyst who is experienced with the mobile telecoms industry, to join their intelligence team and work on a variety of projects as the intelligence team needs dictate. The role will give you the chance to work on a multitude of projects, broadening your expertise across mobile, covering geographical regions as well as a variety of different technologies.
You will have client exposure, working directly on projects as well as exposure to press and media.
Key experiences are across the mobile telecoms ecosystem with a particular focus on the convergance with the Internet sector for the provision of OTT services.
The Main Duties Are As Follows
Undertake in-depth quantitative and qualitative research and analysis and develop insights into a wide range of global, regional and local mobile industry issues and themes
Take a supporting and potentially leadership role with projects, managing the process end to end
This includes coordinating scoping, analysis, drafting and publication (or internal submission if deliverable not being made public)
At each step, liaise with internal clients on report structure, deliverables and messaging
Contribute to and give presentations to senior management internally
Academic
Graduate with good degree, ideally in science, engineering or mathematics, but other subject areas will be considered
Functional
Strong analytical and numeracy skills
Extremely proficient at Microsoft Excel
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to source and assimilate quantitative data, validate assumptions and convey complex analytical insights
Proficiency in a foreign language is not required but would be a distinct advantage (especially Spanish / French / Portuguese / Arabic / Mandarin)
Regional expertise is also not a requirement but would be a distinct advantage
