《北京遇上西雅图之不二情书》讲述了分隔大洋两岸、身份迥异的男女主人公，澳门赌场的公关小姐焦姣与远在大洋彼岸洛杉矶的房地产经纪人罗大牛意外因书结缘，进而在鸿雁传书中，由相互的对立和冲突，到逐渐心意相通，最终有情人终成眷属的故事。影片中以近乎浓墨重彩的方式向那些正在消逝远去的古典传统——笔墨书写、纸化阅读的古典传统，诗词歌赋、家国情怀的古典文化，执子之手、与子偕老的古典爱情——致以敬意。
