高高兴兴迎开学，欢欢喜喜闹元宵

开学啦！开学啦！加拿大美林海岸国际幼稚园开学典礼活动开始啦！

开学典礼当天恰逢是元宵节，元宵节是我国传统的重要节日之一，又称“上元节”、“灯节”，是团圆的日子，老师们和孩子都穿上唐装或是喜庆的服装一起欢度元宵佳节。米奇米妮也带着小礼物在门口派发给陆续来园的孩子们，幼儿园里充满了喜庆的节日氛围。

元宵节有许多传统风俗和节目，如：舞狮子、扭秧歌、猜灯谜、吃元宵等。为了让幼儿更好地感受我国传统节日的喜庆与热闹的气氛，幼儿园还特别邀请了齐天大圣孙悟空和醒狮表演团队为师生们表演精彩的节目，老师们和四个大班也表演了节目，大家一起热热闹闹地将开学典礼推向了一个高潮。

“元宵节，真热闹，看花灯，吃元宵。”元宵，又名汤圆、圆子。承载“团圆、圆满”的美好寓意，象征团圆和睦，寄托了人们对未来生活的美好愿望。在元宵佳节当天下午，孩子们愉快地和老师、家长、小伙伴一起做汤圆，吃汤圆，充分感受到了中国民俗的节日气氛，体验到了自己动手的乐趣和成功感。这次元宵节的汤圆特别甜！

On February 22nd at Canadian Mayland International Kindergarten we celebrated the wonderful Lantern Festival. We started the day with some surprise toys for the children, and then they went to have a wonderful English class. After the English class the celebration began, we had some cool lion dancers and the monkey king Wukong came by. All the children were amazed at the performers; they loved seeing the lion and the monkey king. We finished the day off with some great parents coming in to make “Tang Yuan” for the children; the parents and kids ate together! Throughout the day the kids kept talking about how much fun they had and how they can’t wait for the next festival!
