Starbucks, Microsoft, and Amazon: what do all of these companies have in common? They are all headquartered in the great state of Washington, also known as the Evergreen State. But Washington state is more than the Seattle depicted in television shows like Grey’s Anatomy and Frasier or in the Twilight books and films. It is also a leading agricultural state in the U.S., and the national leader in apple, cherry, and hops production. It has also led in gender equality: Washington state is the only state to have had an entirely female leadership concurrently in the Governor’s House and in two Senate seats. Please join us at the Beijing American Center to learn more about the history, culture, and topography of this unique state!

Directions: Metro Line 10, Liangmaqiao Station Exit B, walk northeast to the Tian Ze Road intersection of An Jia Lou Road, north side of the Visas Office.
