大作文

Task 2 Some countries build specialised facilities only for top athletes, instead of providing facilities that everyone can use. Do you think this is a positive or negative development?

key wordsspecialised facilities only for top athletes, not for everyone, positive or negative

Model Answer:

Obviously in those nations where specialized sports infrastructure is accessible only for their best sportsmen, their main aim is to achieve more goals in the events, domestically and internationally. Undoubtedly this will bring glory and pride to the countries as well as athletes themselves.

As we may realize, such special availability to these top sportsmen of a country will, first and foremost, facilitate the government to capitalize on its limited financial resource, thus more efficiency will be attained for the use of the facilities. Additionally, the professional sportsmen will be involved in the a variety of training, and then they will quickly outperform their rivals in matches. Without such management of the sports facilities, they would have to wait for their schedule with those health-pursuing common users. However, the former usually have their event timetable, which strongly requires well-fixed plans. Only in a well-planned timetable will the athletes accomplish a variety of challenging training.

From my perspective, it is vital, therefore, for those budget-seeking countries. Nevertheless, in the long run, they should also allocate their national treasure on establishing community sports facilities for the public – common visitors, because I believe that top sportsmen are usually selected from the young general people whose talent is discovered and whose passion is fueled. Equally, these gifted adolescents strongly demand for the accessibility to the facilities in which their potential is tested and their moves are sufficiently reshaped by specialties and experts of a field, so as to satisfy any extreme challenges of events in the future.

Given the fact that these countries can win the medals in the competition, it is of importance for them to inspire their citizens to engage in a wide range of sports activities aiming to enhance public health. Stress resulting from work and study will be relieved and reduced there.  Governments’ objectives can also be accomplished by promoting sport and active reaction taking place in these amenities. Therefore, they need to consider building more facilities in communities to involve full participation of all ages and races.

Overall, such a practice in certain countries tends to suffer extreme pain and erode public well being, due mainly to their imbalance between national reputation and public health. Instead, they need to seek integrity of these respects, which I will advocate.
