考了无数次雅思了,写作一直6分,感觉词句不行,语法太烂,写作过7变得遥遥无期无忧小雅哥今天节选了一名无忧内部学员,入学前写作6分,在入门以后,词句语法并未改变很多,但是却妥妥地将大作文提高到了7.5!只要入门了,逻辑结构变得清晰,一切都会变得简单起来,词句语法真的没有那么重要~

QSome people think that language teaching should take place in small classes, while others believe that the number of students in a language class does not matter. Discuss both views and give your own opinion.

The size of classes is generally accountable for [CA1] the overall performance of students. Some people believe that it isbetter to organize a small class when teaching another language, but others may hold opposite the opinion that size is of no consequence[CA2] . I think, in fact, initiative [CA3] is more important than class sizes.

It is reasonable to say that having arelatively small-sized class may ensure eachstudent to receives proper guidance from teachers. Considering that thetime for each lesson is fixed, which means the less fewer students in a class, the more chances there are for they can them to express themselves and receive instant [CA4] responses feedback [CA5] from teachers. For example, English speaking classis devised to have 8 to 10 persons;,therefore, the teacher could help them withpronunciation and grammar problems individually.

However, many argue that the size of classeswould not affect the efficiency of language learning. If students are allocatedin a large theatre to study another language, they are greatly encouragedbecause the learning environment is competitive, students may become motivateddue to peer pressure. When I learned English at secondary school, there were 60students and we actually competed with one anther;,for instance, we tried to memorize English as much English vocabularies vocabulary [CA6] as many as possible.

In my opinion[CA7] , the effectiveness of language teaching is more related with theinitiative of teachers and students, rather than with how big or small the class size is. If a teacher isknowledgeable, inspirational and passionate, students will be surely benefitfor sure. If students are willing tolearn and show great interest[CA8] s, they can overcome difficulties thatthey face during studying.

In conclusion [CA9] , whether a class for learning language is large or small is not asimportant as we believe, the most essential element for language teaching andlearning is that both teachers and students must take the initiative.

Word count: 295

Task Response: 8 You have done very well here, addressing allparts of the task. As noted in the comments, you didn’t answer the questiondirectly, so you did not have as strong of a thesis as you could, but youressay was very clear and very well developed and supported. You made excellentuse of a small body paragraph to explain your view, which really puts youressay to the next level, great job!

Coherence & cohesion: 8 You have also done very well here, with goodlogical sequencing and strong paragraphing. As with TR, the one thing thatcould help improve here is by directly answering the essay question with yourthesis, but you still had a solid essay regardless. Cohesion was also good, sothe whole essay flowed very well.

Lexical Resource: 7 Your vocab is typically pretty strong, though Idon think it is actually the weak point in this essay. You had a few issueswith word choice in picking an adverb instead of an adjective. Range was goodand errors were limited enough for a 7, but not quite an 8.

Grammatical Range & Accuracy: 7 Your range isexcellent, but there were too many errors for this to be an 8. You had a coupleissues with uncountable nouns, so you could try to work on that, but cleaningup just a few errors could make the difference here.

Overall Score: 7.5 Excellent TR & CC. Vocab and grammar weregood but not great, but overall a really strong essay.

[CA1]“Related to” would be a better choice here or“correlated with” would be a more advanced choice or“there is a cause and effect relationship between overall performance and classsize”

[CA2]The opposite opinion would be big classes, whereas the essayquestion stated that others think class size does not matter so opposite is incorrect here.

[CA3]This is not what the essay question asks. You can say you thinkinitiative is more important, fine, but you need to do so in answering thequestion. Do classes need to be small, or does it not matter.

I would mark this down, written theway it is, for going off topic. However, if you said, “Personally, I thinkclass size does not matter, because initiative is more important.” then you’dbe fine, but you did not actually answer the question.

[CA4]Word from error, instantly is an adverb, you are modifying response, which is a noun, so you need an adjective (instant)

[CA5]Feedback would be a better choice here too

[CA6]I would consider vocabulary to be uncountable

[CA7]Excellent!!

[CA8]Interest in this sense is general and uncountable

[CA9]Solid conclusion.
