The New Zealand Embassy in Beijing is looking for an Executive Assistant to provide professional PA support to the Ambassador. The Executive Assistant also works closely with Official Residence representational staff and assists with arrangements for functions held in the Chancery and Official Residence, and has responsibility for logistical and planning support for visits, and administration functions of the Embassy to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of the office.

 

A suitable candidate will have:

  • At least five years’ previous successful experience in a high level secretarial or senior administration support role to a manager and/or team

  • Demonstrated ability to contribute to and work within a team

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills (in both English and Chinese)

  • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain effective relationships

  • Well-developed planning and organisational skills, including ability to prioritise tasks effectively and work under pressure

  • Strong customer focus, with the ability to communicate effectively with a range of people

  • Possess a strong achievement/delivery focus – sets high standards including accuracy and attention to detail

  • Ability to anticipate issues and problems and think of creative solutions

     

This is an open tenure position and we are looking for someone who is able to start as soon as possible. Salary is negotiable, depending on skills and experience.
